Do you have set blogs that you try to visit regularly? Are they in your favourites, or do you use a RSS reader? Or, do you visit various blogs only when you remember them?
And once there, do you stick with the same ones, or go exploring the blogs that they link to?
These days I use Google Reader.. if I see a blog I like, I add it.. if I get bored with it after a while, I can take it out again. And yes, I often click on some links.. especially if the title looks interesting.
How about commenting? Do you ‘read and run’, comment only if you feel you have something to say, or do you try to comment whenever possible?
And yes, if you read this, I’d appreciate a comment. <grin> I do like to know who’s visited.

Hi Michelle,
I do have favourite blogs that I link to from mine and I try to visit regularly. These are the blogs I will leave comments on and who usually comment on mine. I also have another list of blogs in my favourites that I visit now and then but probably wouldn’t comment on but just read. If people comment on my blog I try to respond either on my comments or on their blog. I do follow links from other people’s blogs and I notice from my stats that people do the same with my blog.
Hope you are now settled in your new home – we are still trying to sell:)
I haven’t had much time for commenting recently, but have been reading yours. I will visit again later today.
I have blogs I visit regularly, and the link to yours on one of them stood out because of its (rather cool) name.
And I comment if I feel like I have something to say…like today
I’ll have a nosy at your blog in the future. I also tend to favourite the people who comment on my own blog haha, cause I’m into favouritism like that
Keep up the good work
I have a list of blogs in my bookmarks. I usually bookmark the ones I like and visit often, but I’m a blogging fool. I love blogs.
I usually comment. When I had Blogger, I didn’t think anyone ever visted my blog. Since I’ve had WordPress, the stats show that people visit and even read it but don’t always comment. Mmmm.
I’m kind of obsessed with my blog stats though. LOL.
I like stats too.. and I have a few websites to monitor too! Mind you, I gave up on my personal site, because it was too depressing seeing the low numbers! LOL
I think people comment more here, because you don’t need to sign up.
That’s probably right, Michelle. And I know what you mean about low numbers. It IS depressing.
As an author, sales numbers are something I dread to see.
I wouldn’t mind giving your book a try, but I can’t see it on amazon, and I really can’t manage reading on the screen.
I have most of my favorite blogs bookmarked, and I also link them to my own blog. I try to visit them at least once or twice a week. But sometimes, I’ll just scroll through the WP blogs, and I have found some new ones that I’ve added to my blogroll. I like that on WP you can just click on the arrow, and you get redirected to a random blog. I never know what I’m going to see. I only really comment when I have something to say, so I don’t do it often.
I love checking out the Blog Stats! I like to see how people find my blog, and what they’re looking for. I’ve gotten a lot more traffic on WP than I ever did on Blogger.
No worries Michelle. It’s on Amazon U.S and the cost to have it sent overseas is pretty steep.
Someday I hope to be with a publisher that distributes globally, but I have some work to do to get there.
[...] reading some of my favorite blogs in an effort to avoid the writing I need to do and came across Michelle’s Post about blogging. And it got me [...]
I have friends I read and comment on and that’s all I can squeeze in whilst maintaining all the other online sites I’m involved with.
I’m an irregular blog visitor. I occasionally visit the blogs on my blogroll, but I only comment when I have something to say (rather than a “Hi, thought I’d drop in and say I liked your post”). I do often click on blogs in other people’s blogrolls too – I’m especially drawn to interestingly-named ones and those mostly about books. And occasionally they’ll get added to my own blogroll too, on the sly…
