I really enjoyed ‘28 Days Later’.. great opening, storyline etc. ‘28 Weeks Later’ also had great reviews, and today we finally got to watch it.
Well, I think I must be watching a different film to the reviewers. They’ve just tried to make this film as gory as they can, to the point of being ridiculous. 
After watching “28 Days Later” I just couldn’t see my way to watching the sequel. The first one was scary enough.
With this sequel, I was so busy laughing at how gory it was, that I didn’t have time to feel scared.
Sigh!
I agree with you - everything that made 28 Days Later such a great film was completely missing in 28 Weeks Later. It felt like they were just trying to cash in on the success of the first film (which was a surprise hit), and, in my opinion, they failed dismally.
After waiting so patiently for the sequel and having such high hopes when I heard Robert Carlisle was going to be in it, I was so disappointed I almost cried. It was the most pointless waste of time ever.
I shall just keep hld of the first film and pretend they never made the blunder of the second…
