Most blogs have a list of links, and often these are other blogs. Every now and again, I’ll take a look at some of these other blogs. I try to leave a comment (or two) if something catches my eye, and some blogs I’ll add to my reader, to come back to.
This has gotten me thinking about comments. Personally, I really like getting comments, both from friends, and from people I don’t know. I like to know who’s visiting my little world, and if they think my ramblings are worth commenting on.
However, when I leave a comment on someone else’s blog, I wonder what their reaction is.. whether it’s along the lines of ‘who the heck is that then?’!
So bloggers.. how do you react? Do you like new comments, or prefer it if they’re only from people you already know? And if you see a comment from a new visitor, do you visit their blog.. and do you try to comment there?
I like comments of any kind, from people I know, or from strangers. I also try to find their blog and comment there (if I have something to say). I also try to comment on friends’ blogs as often as possible.
I got my first comment on my newly started blog tonight, and my first thought when the email notification popped up was “OMG! Someone’s been reading my stuff!”…closely followed by scuttling off to check out what they’d said, and then I did head on over to their place to see what they’ve been up to recently and left a comment or two there as well. I always think it looks kind of nice if there are comments on a blog because it shows there is some life there and at least someone else is reading it.
So.. where does this shiny new blog of yours reside?
I like getting comments on my blog both from friends and new visitors alike, it gives me encouragement to carry on writing it. I sometimes reply to their comments on my comments section but I also visit their blog. if they have one, and leave a comment if I can
I love getting comments from friends and strangers alike. I do try to leave a comment to the blogs I visit, and I usually (eventually) visit the blog of the person commenting me. It’s just nice to know that people are reacting to what you’ve written.
